VISION Grassroots Innovation Network (GrIN) is a non-profit initiative to bring the ‘innovation infrastructure’ and ‘startup incubation ecosystem’ to America’s community colleges, so students can get hands-on entrepreneurial experience to launch their ideas into market competitive businesses.
MISSION GrIN’s mission is to develop a public-private partnership to build, operate and run virtual cloud-based innovation management platform that is coupled with local college-level incubation centers to form a “National Innovation Grid” to strengthen America’s leadership in innovation and provide the launch pad for thousands of new entrepreneurs that will create new businesses generating millions of new jobs in our country.

Karl Mehta Karl Mehta is Founder & CEO of PlaySpan Inc., acquired in March 2011 by Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), the world's largest payment network. PlaySpan is a global leader in payments and monetization platform for digital media, mobile apps, social networks and online games. Mr. Mehta is Silicon Valley based serial entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience in founding, building and funding technology companies in the U.S. and international markets. Mr. Mehta won the 'Entrepreneur of the Year 2010' Award from Ernst & Young for Northern California and is a Charter member of TiE-Silicon Valley and an active angel investor in clean-tech and internet sector worldwide. He is board member of Pratham Silicon Valley (non-profit for education), Source Ventures LLC and Simpa Networks Inc.

Giadha Aguirre De Carcer

Ms. DeCarcer has over a decade of experience in business management and strategic business development with an emphasis on PPP and emerging markets. Her current interest and focus lies in encouraging creation of small businesses across the US, as well as supporting efforts to coach and empower women entrepreneurs, especially returning veterans. Ms. DeCarcer is the founder of the Women Entrepreneurs Reinforcement (WeR) program.

Prior to founding GNI International, Ms. DeCarcer worked as a consultant in the Defense, Technology, and Telecommunication. Before moving to Washington D.C., Ms. DeCarcer worked with JPMorganChase in Manhattan and London, where she specialized in new business development and incubation initiatives. Preceding her investment banking experience, she ran and founded Florida-based First Federal Transportation as its Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. DeCarer received a B.A. in International Relations and Trade from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in International Security from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and an AA in Business Administration from Miami Dade Community College. She has traveled to, and worked in, over twenty five countries and speaks five languages fluently.
